Nonprofit Spotlight2018-07-04T03:32:20+00:00

I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for the countless efforts of volunteers, advocates, and mentors who have given their time free of charge in support of my healing journey in one way or another.

I also have many friends and loved ones whose lives have been positively impacted by the work of nonprofit organizations.  This page is dedicated to featuring those groups, providing you more information about their mission, and allowing you an opportunity to give back by donating.

Down Syndrome Community of Puget Sound

January 1st, 2021|0 Comments

I had the honor of [virtually] meeting Corissa and her family this winter through my Savvi business.  She is a teacher, wife and a mother of 2.  One of her little angels is Hudson, and she has Down syndrome.  Every time I see a picture or video of Hudson she just lights up the room and you can't help but feel her joy!  This month I would like to promote donations to the Down Syndrome Community of Puget Sound in honor of Hudson. DSC's mission is to empower people with Down syndrome and their families through life-long learning and experiences, while building an accepting and inclusive society.  Your one time donation will contribute directly to their mission. Coupled with leadership development and other [...]

DVSAS

May 4th, 2018|0 Comments

Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services in Bellingham is an organization near and dear to my heart.  Not only did they support me when I needed it most, but they continue to support victims and children within our community.  Every victim of domestic violence or sexual assault deserves to feel safe, heard and supported.  The advocates at DVSAS provide an environment that supports these needs.  Please consider supporting their efforts through a donation, and spread the word about this wonderful community program.
